How to plan a 561/2006-compliant HGV route

Bringing rest stops, tolls and truck restrictions together into one realistic plan.

Route the truck, not a car

A compliant plan starts with a truck-legal route: weight, axles, dimensions and any hazmat restrictions decide which roads are even available. A car route through a low bridge is not a plan.

Schedule the rest with the drive

Once you know the driving time, the 45-minute break and daily rest slot into the timeline. This is what turns “600 km” into a believable arrival time, and it is where manual planning most often goes wrong.

Cost it as you plan it

Tolls and driving days are part of the same plan, so the price and the schedule agree. FleetlySolutions does all three together (routing, rest and cost), so dispatch and sales are looking at the same reality.
